Death is a part of life. Not everyone is comfortable talking about death or being with the dying. I am, so I do. I became a hospice volunteer in 2005 and later transitioned to the position of Comfort Therapist. It is a great honor to be with someone as they die and I hope my presence and touch bring them comfort.

As a member of The Order of the Good Death, I strive to reduce any fear or anxiety around being with the dying by teaching caregivers simple massage techniques they can use with their loved ones. I also promote open conversations about death by teaching Hospice Massage to massage therapy students and other interested groups. Most importantly, I face my own fears about the unknowns of death as an ongoing personal practice. Contact me for more information or to schedule a session.
