Movement, bodywork, and community helped me through a life-changing grieving process.

My body desperately craved massage during the most intense time of my grieving, but the kind of massage I had previously enjoyed was no longer effective. I didn’t want my shoulder treated or my hamstrings stretched. I needed intentional comforting touch in an environment where I could safely let go of the enormous emotions being held in my body.

Two of my favorite quotes from Ram Dass are “Be here now.” and “We are all just walking each other home.” It is my intention during a grief massage session to embody the spirit of these words.
