Massage has the potential to provide support and relief to people with cancer and their loved ones. With a clear understanding of the biology of cancer and specific guidelines, massage therapists can provide a great benefit in this population’s comfort level and quality of life. This class is designed to help massage therapists build confidence and competence when working with clients who have a history of cancer or are currently undergoing treatment. Class Details:
Your instructor is a pharmacist, business owner and massage therapy educator. She has worked with patients at all stages of the cancer journey. She has provided massage at Relay for Life events and was the faculty advisor for an internship at Mary Bridge Children’s hospital in Tacoma, Washington.
This course provides 6 hours of in-person continuing education.
